Hey Eric. You probably won't remember me but I had a red Cherokee at your place last summer where you had to swap in another antenna to get the SWR down. Anyway, it's working great but I'm not sure the Midland CB I have is up to my needs for reception. I often run with guys that have, well lets just say, tin cans and wire. They hear me just fine but most of the time I can't hear them (and we know why), so I'm looking to compensate. I'm guessing that the Midland, being a bottom shelf radio, has a limited number of amplifier stages. You have anything that would be considered top shelf? Not worried about the cost, just want the best and still in that 4" x 6" x 1" physical size range.

I have a burgundy XJ, you tuned me up in June and installed a new antenna for me on my tire swing. I'll need a new wire for it and a PA speaker. My wire was damaged during one of my adventures.

My be dumb question, but I know nothing about CB's except how to use it. How much is a good CB installed? Not looking for top quality, jut decent and reliable, for JeepSkool mostly.
It would be mounted in an 89 Wagoneer.

Might be interested in a radio, antenna or both. Possibly a pa if my radio accepts one.

Any chance you'll be bringing a 2 foot antenna and a spring?

Since I moved my 3 foot antenna to the top of my roof it drags through the trees and is bending the sheet metal. Will reinforce the roof this week, but will need a shorter antenna and a spring for when I drag it through tree branches again.
