Your father does Not have to become a member, however he is more than welcome to sign up, its free.
He will most likely be sitting threw Skool with you, so he might want to take the Skool so he could drive...
Look forward to meeting you Saturday!

Hi all, I plan on attending this Sundays event with my 3/year old son.

A few questions:
1) relativley stock liberty... my wife wants him to wear a helmet..... should he?

2) How rough are the trails? I understand this is sort of like a camp site as well as an off-road trail. Is it a bad idea to bring my dog? (I am new to this, so just asking)

3) I have a sub bolted down in a small box in my trunk. It hasn't gone anywhere yet.... is it worth removing?

4) Front Two hooks? Check. Front skid plate (not the flimsy OEM one)? Check. Rear Receiver Hitch? Check. CB? Check. Decent tires? Check. Tow Strap? Check. Duct tape? I wouldn't be caught dead without the stuff.

Thanks!
Mark

Hopefully I have some answers for you

A few questions:
1) relatively stock liberty... my wife wants him to wear a helmet..... should he? I don't think it is necessary. Just strapped into a car seat or booster will be fine. IMO.

2) How rough are the trails? I understand this is sort of like a camp site as well as an off-road trail. Is it a bad idea to bring my dog? (I am new to this, so just asking) The trails vary from one to another most of the stock trail are not very roug

3) I have a sub bolted down in a small box in my trunk. It hasn't gone anywhere yet.... is it worth removing?I don't think you will need to remove it.

4) Front Two hooks? Check. Front skid plate (not the flimsy OEM one)? Check. Rear Receiver Hitch? Check. CB? Check. Decent tires? Check. Tow Strap? Check. Duct tape? I wouldn't be caught dead without the stuff.
Don't forget to bring some tools just in case something needs wrenched on.

Hope that helps.

Oh most importantly.
HAVE FUN!!

Cool!

 He should be fine without a helmet. I have taken my soon to be 3 year old on many a trail when he was only one. As long as he is in a properly secured car seat, he will be good.

Tails are from very easy to you will not be taking a stock liberty there.
How does your dog enjoy car rides? You are more then welcome to bring him/her ( I will guess he/she is kid friendly)

If it is bolted down you should be good.

Don't forget to bring snacks for you and the little one! The wife is also more then welcomed to attend. ::rockon::

Thanks all!!!

My wife is going to sit this one out as "we're" pregnant, and she is going to stay home (go shopping) with my 18 month old son... who I think would enjoy the trails, but for tomorrow I am only going to bring my 3/yo who is more excited about cars (seriously, I was working out of my house and he sat there for over an hour today watching off-road videos on youtube... he would ask for a new one when the one he was watching finished.

Snacks: Great idea!!!

Dog: He is kid friendly... a bit of puppy energy, but he loves being in the car.

Tools: Consider it done. Emptying out the jeep as soon as I am finished with this post.... I plan to pack a bag which can be strapped down in the trunk...

Coffee.... thermos will work :)

Camera.... I just put all my gear back into my Storm Case... can't wait to get out tomorrow!!!!

See everyone tomorrow!!!!

You guys probably watched some of my videos today - I have a bunch of them on Youtube. :D

Another thought on the helmet - it will create more load on your child's neck when bouncing around and could do more harm than good.

Make sure you bring some toys for the little one - he will get bored after a few hours in the back seat. I used to get my son a new Hotwheels Jeep everytime we would go offroad. There is a playground in the campground so you son can stretch out after a while .

Make sure everything is secure as it will get tossed around inside your Jeep. I hope you have a great time tomorrow.

I have to sit this weekend out due to illness :(

Do I have to "get skooled" to go off road with you guys. It said that it was an hour course to go over basics. Not sure if I will be needing basic knowledge. My jeep is a little over built for most trails. I have alot of off roading experience.

Yes, you do as the basics include the rules of the property.

It should make you feel better that EVERY single driver on the property has been "skooled". This way there is never a question that everyone has been told the rules and what JeepSkool is all about.
